Tampere-Henry´s Pub-23th March 1999On the 23th of March 1999 Reprinted and their always ready for action crew consisting of one man, The Introducing Motherfucker, headed towards Tampere with two automobiles. After twenty minutes of driving noticed "G-man", the drumming wonder boy, that their vehicle wasn`t moving. He informed "Veikko the bass slapping mutha" about the flaw and they decided that it would be wise to try and arrange another form of transportation. After stealing Harri the G-man`s mother´s car they started speeding to Tampere. Meanwhile the rhythm section was adventuring on the highway, Introducing MF, The Grooving Guitarists Tommi and Ville arrived at Henry´s Pub and set up the stage ready for the show. Finally the lost boys arrived too and a soundcheck took place. Everything sounded great as usual. The place looked empty but people started showing up and around 11 o´clock the band was in condition to play. After changing clothes in a backstage obviously built for midgets the band got on stage. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Tammmpereeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaaaarrrrrrrrreeee yooouuuuuuuu reeeeaaaadyyyyyyyyyy…", the show started in the usual way with Introducing MF growling in the microphone so that people could hear him all the way in Nokia!! After the introduction the set began with Ancient Times. The set was played with the same energy, enthusiasm and dedication as it always is and was ended with the raging classic cover "Deuce". After the song, Reprinted left the stage leaving the crowd without encores. A group of people demanded the band to return to play a few more tunes but it didn´t happen. The acceptance of the people in the bar was pretty positive and a few individuals asked if the band was coming back sometime, we certainly hope so. After the successful gig the band went on to check out the wild night life in Tampere City giving out free City-magazines. After the closing time people continued the successful night at Kimmo´s (Tommi´s cousin) place where three russian military officers were also seen rumbling around swinging a quite large bottle of vodka. The next day it was time for work again and the gear was packed in the cars and the journey back home begun. Apart from the weird Russian officers, the band also saw Pauli Hanhiniemi, which was nice, and the icehockey legend Timo Jutila, which was even nicer. Altogether the trip was great fun and the band, crew and Jarvis himself hope that it will not be a long when Tampere will see another marvellous night of fabulous rock`n´roll!!!!!!! May jarvis be with you. |
